If you are presented with a glass of white wine and a plate of artistically arranged sugared cookies, then you have succeeded in winning over the heart of the charming old owner. An ancient old battered tin rests on the shelf much too high, and each time it is taken down: a ritual, awkward and so unforgettable that we pray every time we return to Rome in the hope that this place still exists. The food is simple with just a few different dishes. The restaurant is tiny, but so wonderfully modest.
